The Father of tree Education

Dr. C.W. W Kannangara is regarded as the father of tree Education Sri Lanka Christopher William wijekoon kannangara was born on October 13, 1889 at random be, a suburb of Ambolangoda. His father was john Daniel wijekoon and his mother was Emaly wijesinghe. He had his Primary education at Wesleyan high school, Ambolangoda and then he had his secondary education at Richmond College, gall as a free scholar Dr. Kannagara was an eminent Sri Lankan educationist who rendered a great service for the development of education. He brought about several reforms in education. He become the Minister of Education in the Legislative council in 1923 He realized that the existing education system was not suitable to fulfil the needs of the society. He wanted to make some amendments in the system. In order to achieve this objective, he submitted an Education reform bill in 1938 he saw that the society was divided in to two groups under the then education system as the English educated and vernacular educated. He wanted to give an equal education to all irrespective of wealth or other reasons. The concept of central colleges was Dr. Kannangara’s greated contribution to the development of education. The first central colleges set up under this programmer were at minuwangoda, veyangoda, akuramboda, matugama, weeraketiya kattamkudy ibbgmuwa, Dickweella and marathugoda by 1944 there were 22 central colleges this number was increases up to 50 by 1946 he is a national hero who paved the way to both urban and rural children to receive free education. Dr. Kannagara also realized that some people could not afford to send their children to schools because of the poverty. In order to overcome this problem, be introduced a system of scholar, ships we all owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dr. Kannangara, the father of free Education.

The rose has many pet alls. It has a
sweet scent. The rose plant has thorns.
Some roses are very expensive. There
are rare once. people use roses for
bridal bouquets and wreaths. people
offer roses. The lord Buddha. The butter
fly come to them to suck honey we put roses
in to vases. They beautify horse many
people like roses.

The jak tree

The jak is a versatile tree. People eat the jak fruit when it is tender it is polos. When it is waraka or wela. When it is seasoned Kos. Waraka is good fore diabetic patients. We can dry the jak leaves and grind them. Diabetic patients drink it. Animals is ate the outer covering. People use the roots to dye the robes of Buddhist monks. It colure is saffron. People use jak timber to construct buildings and make furniture. People use dry branches for fire wood the jak tree beautifies nature it is a gift of nature.

The clock

The clock for measuring time.
It tells us as the time of the day in the ancient
days people had to watch the sun and the moon to
know the time. A clock is a wonderful machine. A wound up
spring moves number wheels .Some are coggled wheels.
This helps the tow hands to move round the face or dial
of the clock. The shout hand is called the hour hand and
other the long hand minute hand. The dial is divided into
twelve equal portion is one hour is between each portion is
divided into five units. Each unit is one minute. When the
long hand goes through the dial. It makes one hour.similarly.
when the shout hand goes round the dial it makes twelve hours.
To make a day this short hand should travel twice round the dial.
The clock is a very important article for our daily life it helps
us to do everything in time and to spend the day in a punctual manner.

Let us protect common Assets

Since the very first moment of our birth we tend to claim
our mother as ours. But as time elapses we come to realize
that the she belongs as well. Thus she becomes a common asset.
A common asset means a property by which all the members of a
common social family are benefited.
The present society is a complicated one and the assets
available for the benefit of all people. Alike are plentiful,
highways, ways of public transport such as buses trains and aero
planes, institutions of service such as libraries hospital and
schools are some among them.
These common assets are maintained with the funds of
all of us together. And they are admixture by a government
appointed by vote of all people. Thus they become the wealth
of each and every person in the society.

There two kind of sugar one is white sugar, the other is brown sugar. Brown sugar is good for health. Eating too much of sugar not good for health. Because it cause diabetes. So of sugar.

The best day to accomplish something it the day before tomorrow. This saying teachers us the value of time. The present world is a fast running one. Any one who fails to keep with the speed become a loser. Therefore in order to achieve our goals in this complex and fast society we must know how to get the best use of our time.

Most people today neglect punctuality. Punctuality is a must for only one who wants to save his time. A punctual man not only saves his own time, he saves the time of the others as well. Efficiency is another powerful time saver. Efficiency means not speed. An efficient man achieves some take within a short period of time.

Sri Lanka is still a developing country. Time is a very important factor to us. It all of us try our best to save our individual time to some extent it will be a greacontribution towards the development of the country.

Before flowing or planting is done, the farmer prepares the field first he has to loosen the soil with the help of plough and buffaloes, if not by a tractor. Then he has to muddy the area. After the preparation is completed. He can sow the paddy on the mud. When the plants are grown the farmer will have to spray some insecticides at certain intervals. When the paddy is ripe after three or four months. With the help of other farmers to harvest the field. After the harvest the farmer will bring paddy home.
