Electricity is very useful to man. Today it is almost impossible for us to imagine
living without electricity. But until the year 1800 there was no electricity at all.
It was in 1800 that Alexandra Volta invented the first battery. This
battery gave a continuous flow. Of electricity.
Sir Humphrey Davy and Michael Faraday are two other scientists
who made our knowledge of electricity wider.
Today, man use electricity for pratical purposes too. There are
many kinds of electrical appliance. Television, radio, electric pulb,
electic iron, electric cooker and the refrigerator are the mostly used electrical appliances in our country.
